Together. …And we are looking for an HR Specialist to add to our team! Do you thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment? Are you looking for a broad and varied HR role that will challenge you to be a better HR professional? The HR Specialist will provide generalist HR support to our Great Lakes team including employee onboarding, benefits and compensation administration, policy interpretation, employee file maintenance, HR communications, and more. The HR Specialist will regularly interact with all levels of employees in our offices, other North America HR teams, and the Regional and Global HR teams. As a member of BCG’s Human Resources team, we will lean on you to help us develop, deploy, and retain the best talent in the market. We will work together to manage the life cycle of our BCGers and the day-to-day operations of HR. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field strongly preferred
  • 2-5 years of business experience, preferably at a high touch environment with professional staff
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment and labor laws
  • Computer proficiency in Windows, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong analytical abilities strongly preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; performs tasks with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast- paced environment
  • Recognize and maintain highest levels of confidentiality
  • Must perform well under pressure, take initiative, and handle multiple tasks at the same time with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop effective working relationships with staff while demonstrating a positive, personal and professional image; highly responsive

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the Great Lakes HR team to provide general support for local staff including contributing to onboarding, leave-of-absence management, off-boarding, and employee relations
  • Interpreting, implementing, and answering inquiries related to HR benefits, payroll, policies and procedures, while ensuring consistency and thoughtfully navigating grey areas
  • Creating and maintaining a variety of reports and audits for the local office HR function including attrition and turnover, people movements, form I-9 tracking, and others
  • Contributing to projects and process improvements for the Great Lakes HR team, as needed
  • Actively participating in the Great Lakes HR team and the broader HR community including regional/global initiatives and projects
  • Other duties, as assigned
