About The Position

This Human Resources Specialist position supports second shift operations from 2:30 PM to 11:15 PM in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive HR support, promoting and enforcing workplace safety, and enhancing the overall employee experience. The specialist works closely with operational teams to ensure compliant HR processes, accurate records, and a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulations, including OSHA or equivalent standards.
  • Experience supporting or enforcing safety programs in a professional environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling HR records, payroll adjustments, and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during second shift hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with HR systems, HRIS platforms, and timekeeping systems.
  • Capability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized HR documentation.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills when supporting employees and leaders.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 10 or equivalent safety qualifications.

  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or automotive environments.
  • Familiarity with OSHA reporting, incident tracking, and safety audits.
  • Experience conducting or supporting safety training and environmental health and safety (EHS) activities.
  • Exposure to HR administration, including onboarding, benefits support, and employee relations.
  • Experience with recruiting processes such as candidate screening and interview coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support to second shift employees, including onboarding, employee relations, and policy guidance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and HR-related concerns during second shift hours.
  • Assist with timekeeping, payroll adjustments, and attendance tracking to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, promote, and reinforce workplace safety initiatives, policies, and procedures across the second shift.
  • Conduct, coordinate, and track safety training sessions for employees, ensuring completion and proper documentation.
  • Manage incident reporting and support the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Partner with leadership to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with investigations related to safety incidents, employee relations concerns, or policy violations.
  • Participate in HR and safety audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Support recruiting activities as needed, including screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
  • Perform HR administrative tasks such as data entry, HRIS updates, and preparation of HR-related reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Provide on-the-floor visibility in manufacturing, warehouse, and office areas to support employees and reinforce safety compliance.
