About The Position

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department and assisting in the administration of key HR functions, including employee relations, benefits, onboarding, compliance, performance management, recruiting support, and HR operations. This role serves as a resource to employees and management while helping ensure a positive and compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices
  • Experience with benefits administration, onboarding, and employee relations preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and HRIS systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures
  • Support employee relations matters by assisting with issue resolution, documentation, and follow-up
  • Partner with management to support employee engagement, performance management, and workplace initiatives
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, attending recruiting events, and onboarding coordination
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes
  • Prepare and maintain onboarding documentation and employee records
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and related questions
  • Coordinate benefits changes, qualifying life events, and open enrollment support
  • Support leave administration processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation documentation
  • Review and reconcile benefit-related information for accuracy
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Support payroll processes, employee status changes, and timekeeping administration
  • Assist with policy implementation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support HR audits, reporting, and documentation requests
  • Assist with employee training initiatives and professional development programs
  • Support performance review processes and employee development activities
  • Help maintain training materials, HR resources, and process documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to support departmental goals and special projects
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs
