About The Position

The Recruiting, Onboarding & Workforce Coordinator is responsible for supporting the facility’s staffing needs from candidate recruitment through onboarding, placement, and workforce planning. This position owns hourly recruiting, temporary workforce coordination, new-hire onboarding, internal bidding, and employee movements. The coordinator partners closely with Human Resources, Operations, Training, Process Owners, temporary staffing agencies, and facility leadership to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of direct experience in HR field
• Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives
• Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
• High level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
• Flexible, innovative in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
• Proven experience supporting recruiting and onboarding processes, including candidate coordination, new hire orientation, and facilitating a smooth and effective onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the HRBP and plant leadership to assess staffing needs and maintain appropriate plant staffing levels.
• Maintain and update plant staffing plans.
• Serve as a recruitment business partner for hourly plant staffing.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external candidates while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Evaluate external applicants through phone screens, plant tours, and face-to-face interviews.
• Coordinate interviews and hiring activities with supervisors and plant leadership.
• Maintain appropriate communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Flex work hours as needed to support recruiting initiatives across facility shifts.
• Hold and execute job fairs and open interviews when staffing gaps are a need.
• Coordinate the new-hire onboarding process from hire through orientation and placement.
• Coordinate and lead new-hire and temporary employee orientation.
• Work closely with the Training Coordinator to ensure new employees complete all required onboarding and training.
• Conduct or coordinate new-hire classroom and hands-on training, including LOTO and PIT where applicable.
• Ensure new employees receive required facility, scheduling, and system information.
• Participate in orientation and applicable new-hire meetings.
• Ensure onboarding documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Responsible for coordinating benefits enrollment, maintaining accurate records, and tracking employee participation to ensure timely and compliant processing.
• Maintain I-9 files and required documentation.
• Communicate and work with temporary staffing agency management to support facility staffing needs.
• Ensure temporary employees follow established facility onboarding procedures.
• Coordinate temporary employee placement based on facility staffing needs.
• Build and execute the weekly temporary schedule.
• Handle temporary employee evaluations.
• Manage and track the temporary-to-full-time employee conversion process.
• Partner with the HR Generalist regarding temporary employee attendance concerns.
• Maintain appropriate communication with temporary staffing agencies regarding employee status and staffing needs.
• Own and administer the hourly internal bidding process.
• Post internal job bids in compliance with the employee handbook.
• Coordinate internal interviews and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
• Post and communicate internal bid awards.
• Maintain accurate documentation associated with the bidding process.
• Maintain and update hourly job descriptions as needed.
• Manage employee hires, transfers, and other employee movements within applicable HR systems, including Workday.
• Ensure employee records accurately reflect hires, transfers, promotions, and other employee movements.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities within recruiting, onboarding, staffing, and workforce planning processes.
• Develop and follow through on improvement projects.
• Build effective working relationships with Human Resources, Operations, Training, supervisors, Process Owners, and employees.
• Participate in facility teams and initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality of candidate, employee, and business information.
• Flex work hours as needed to support recruiting, onboarding, and staffing initiatives across facility shifts.
• Report all safety concerns and potential hazards to a supervisor or manager.
• Participate in facility safety initiatives.
• Uphold KHMS standards as detailed in the plant’s KHMS training program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the HRBP.
