About The Position

MassDOT is seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Project Management Co-Op to support key HR initiatives. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public sector human resources, with a focus on project coordination, process improvement, and workforce development. The Co-Op will work under the guidance of the HR Program Director and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects that enhance the employee experience, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of HR projects, including process improvements, change management efforts, and initiatives aligned with MassDOT’s strategic plan
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools and internal systems
  • Support the development of reports, presentations, and data analyses related to HR programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and document meeting notes and action items
  • Collaborate with HR staff and departments across MassDOT to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Support compliance efforts by maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with state guidelines
