About The Position

We are looking for a high-level Payroll Specialist to act as a subject matter expert in improving our payroll processes and supporting our Human Resources team. This position handles full cycle payroll processing, tax withholding, benefit deductions, and ensuring accurate employee data. You will work closely with the HR Team to assist with varies HR Generalist tasks such as assisting with employee inquiries, initiating and monitoring onboarding paperwork, and processing offboarding employees.

Requirements

2+ years of experience processing payroll with benefits.
Full cycle payroll for 200+ employees preferred.
Proficiency in payroll software applications and MS Office.
Strong understanding of payroll federals, multi-state (WA & ID), and city tax laws; monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; audit compliance for payroll liability and deferred compensation.
Strong data entry, organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll with accuracy and timeliness for a large employer that includes salaried, hourly, and contract employees.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies proactively.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and labor laws (WA and ID).
Assist with year-end reporting including W-2s, 1099s, L&I, benefits, and multi-state filings.
Process employee expenses and bonus payments, alignment with company policy.
Upload and reconcile data from multiple software applications into payroll systems.
Maintain accurate employee records related to compensation, benefits, and deductions.
Responsible for reviewing and processing HR in-box emails, respond to requests, process forms, etc.
