About The Position

As a Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator at Townsquare Interactive, you’ll play an important role in supporting our employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle while gaining hands-on experience across payroll, onboarding, HR operations, employee support, and more. This is an opportunity to take ownership of key HR processes, including semi-monthly payroll and new hire onboarding, while working closely with our HR team and leaders across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, particularly when working with payroll and employee information
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A customer-service mindset and the ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting as needs change
  • Ability to work 5 days per week in our Uptown Charlotte office

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Human Resources, payroll, HR operations, or employee administration preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Review and process payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and other employee updates
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions
  • Own the new hire onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, processing new hires and onboarding tasks within the HRIS, completing required documentation, and coordinating pre-employment and onboarding activities
  • Maintain accurate personnel records in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Monitor the HR inbox and respond to employee and manager questions, escalating matters to HR leadership as needed
  • Process employee pay and job changes and assist with employee terminations
  • Assist with Leaves of Absence and ADA accommodations
  • Assist with Exit and Stay Interviews as needed
  • Assist with coordinating and facilitating monthly employee HR training sessions
  • Run and maintain various HR and payroll reports on a weekly, monthly, and as-needed basis
  • Support HR leadership with research, special projects, and department initiatives
  • Provide excellent customer service and timely support to employees and managers who contact the HR department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
