About The Position

Legrand has an opportunity for a Human Resources Operations Representative based in West Hartford, CT. This position is primarily remote, with some in-office days required. Candidates must be within commuting distance of West Hartford, CT. The role supports employees, managers, and the Human Resources team by administering core HR operational processes, maintaining accurate data, and assisting with HR programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience supporting Human Resources operations in a shared services, HR call center, or HR administration environment, with demonstrated experience processing high-volume HR transactions accurately and on time.
  • Working knowledge of core Human Resources processes and procedures.
  • Experience using HRIS or HCM platforms (for example, Ceridian Dayforce or Oracle HCM).
  • Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with employees, managers, and external partners at all levels.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks or priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and meeting management tools.
  • Ability to effectively use internet-based and web-based resources.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve Human Resources requests through a case management system, processing a high volume of HR transactions such as new hire entries, job and personal data changes, and ongoing maintenance of records in the HRIS and organizational charts.
  • Support the staffing process by opening requisitions in the online recruiting tool; assisting with reference checks, drug screening coordination, and assessments; and preparing offer letters and new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire readiness activities, including system access requests, office space and equipment setup, and required supplies prior to the employee’s start date.
  • Respond to questions from newly hired employees and monitor the onboarding process to help ensure timely completion of required steps by employees, managers, and HR partners.
  • Process employee terminations by completing checklists, coordinating return of equipment, assisting with removal of system and phone access, preparing separation materials, and processing HR system updates.
  • Create standard, ad hoc, and query-based reports to support internal HR reporting needs, projects, and operational activities.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and employee programs, which may include supporting recognition programs, scheduling training sessions, maintaining data in talent management systems, administering tuition reimbursement processes, and compiling data for employee surveys.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and support broader HR operational and process improvement initiatives.
