The role complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying and reviewing existing and new laws, auditing and enforcing adherence to requirements, rendering opinions, and advising management on needed actions. The Human Resources Manager represents the organization by obtaining, clarifying, and verifying documentation of situations, meeting with government representatives (including attending hearings and/or mediation), studying and resolving complaints, and recommending remedies. The role maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. This position contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. The role achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. The Human Resources Manager allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses. This position maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and orienting employees. The role maintains staff job results by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. The Human Resources Manager maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, or participating in professional societies.
