About The Position

This is not an entry-level HR position. We’re looking for someone experienced enough to confidently handle employee relations, compliance, coaching conversations, benefits administration, investigations, policy updates, and day-to-day operational HR support without needing constant direction. You’ll work closely with leadership and managers across multiple departments and help keep the business running smoothly while supporting front line employees.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on HR experience in a generalist or specialist role (mid-to-senior level preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office
  • In-depth, working knowledge of federal and Washington state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, wage/hour regulations) and a commitment to strict legal compliance without unnecessary overreach
  • Proven track record of handling sensitive issues with discretion, objectivity, and common sense
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines independently
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills: clear, direct, professional, able to document issues thoroughly, deliver straightforward feedback
  • Results-oriented mindset: someone who measures success by tangible outcomes (e.g., low turnover in key roles, efficient hiring processes, compliant operations) rather than abstract initiatives
  • Reliable, self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic, comfortable in a stable environment that rewards dependability and common-sense judgment over constant change or experimentation
  • Professional, dependable, emotionally intelligent, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required
