Hermes Worldwide is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager who will be a key leader, responsible for managing all aspects of the HR function. This includes a wide range of duties from recruitment and employee relations to payroll administration, training, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who can effectively manage both strategic HR initiatives and daily administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Proven experience managing payroll, including a deep understanding of payroll software and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a full-cycle HR role, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Experience with Paylocity, Google Suite, Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a small to mid-sized company

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full-cycle recruitment process, including writing job descriptions, posting open positions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Manage the entire payroll process, including time card overview and processing payroll accurately and on time.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll and benefit regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, SECURE 2.0).
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions on topics such as new hire orientation, leadership development, and compliance.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance issues, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR files, and DOT Qualification files.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and data analysis as needed.
