About The Position

Human Resources Manager DEPARTMENT : Human Resources SHIFT DAYS : Monday-Friday REPORTS TO : Plant Manager FLSA: Salaried Exempt JOB SUMMARY Plan, direct, and coordinate Human Resources management activities to maximize strategic use of human capital and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, training, and regulatory compliance. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital. Advise managers on organizational policy matters. Foster positive management and employee relations by addressing concerns, complaints, and other issues. Manage the recruitment and selection process. Manage the onboarding process, including administration of New Hire Orientation Oversee recruitments, interviews, selection, and hiring process. Educate and inform employees on benefits. Benefits enrollment administration. Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics. Ensure State and Federal legal compliance, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc. Administer Workers Compensation Claims Oversee and administer hourly payroll process for 300+ hourly staff. Policy development and Employee Handbook writing/maintenance partnered with management. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Required Skills/Abilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or four years’ experience in HR for manufacturing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS system. Position is 100% at the plant. Requirements
