About The Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for executing and supporting key human resources initiatives. This role serves as a strategic HR partner to leaders across the organization while managing day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition support, and workforce development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about building strong employee experiences, supporting business objectives, and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing employee relations, performance management, recruitment support, and compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders across multiple functions without direct authority.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience administering HRIS systems and maintaining confidential employee information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC standards, or similar quality management systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Prior experience operating as an HR Business Partner or stand-alone HR leader within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with labor relations and unionized environments.
  • Experience leading organizational change, workforce development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese communication skills.
  • Experience with compensation analysis, workforce analytics, and HR reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Vice President of Human Resources to implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support organizational growth and operational objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for designated business units and departments.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR team members to support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts for manufacturing, engineering, quality, operations, and administrative positions.
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee integration processes to ensure a positive employee experience and successful transition into the organization.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives in partnership with business leaders.
  • Administer compensation and benefit programs, including employee communications, annual review processes, and market benchmarking activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour requirements, leave administration, and workplace investigations.
  • Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate and support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action plans.
  • Facilitate employee training and development programs, including leadership development, compliance training, and manufacturing workforce development initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, recruiting effectiveness, and employee engagement to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support safety initiatives and collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to promote a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.
  • Lead employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives that strengthen retention and employee satisfaction.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts that enhance HR processes, systems, and employee programs.
