Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent employee relations experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist role.
  • Previous HR leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.
  • A strong pattern of initiative, achievement, and leadership.
  • Proven problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains positive employee relations with all employees through effective administration of company policies and the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Advises and guides management in the effective utilization of human resources.
  • Holds responsibility for decision making with respect to terminations and performance counseling to assure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures as not to violate any state or federal law.
  • Is responsible for the effective administration of all company benefit plans.
  • Maintains the plant's affirmative action program.
  • Manages the Safety and Security Programs to meet OSHA and corporate requirements, to assure safe and healthy working conditions, and reduce frequency of accidents.
  • Manages workers' compensation and non-work related disability programs that control costs and ensure quality care for employees through coordination with the medical community.
  • Maintains the Human Resources Information System to ensure it accurately reflects human resource and payroll information.
