Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, payroll, and HR compliance practices
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office platforms preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and process management skills
  • Ability to travel between office locations as needed
  • Restoration, construction, or service-industry experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check subject to applicable law

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for all employee relations and HR matters across franchise locations
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Provide leadership and guidance regarding performance management, coaching, retention, disciplinary actions, and career development
  • Contribute to 90-day and annual performance reviews for franchise employees
  • Identify HR trends and recommend solutions that support operational and organizational objectives
  • Interpret employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices while advising leadership and employees accordingly
  • Track and administer FMLA requests and employee leave programs in compliance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Support leadership with strategic HR planning and Human Capital Management initiatives
  • Lead all recruiting efforts through a comprehensive and proactive hiring program
  • Participate in career fairs, networking events, and recruiting initiatives to attract top talent
  • Coordinate and oversee onboarding for all new hires across office locations
  • Ensure accurate completion and filing of onboarding documentation including W-4s, I-9s, direct deposit forms, and related records
  • Maintain compliant and organized employee files and HR documentation
  • Enhance the employee experience through engagement, development, and mentorship initiatives
  • Oversee payroll accuracy including timecards, labor allocations, wage garnishments, per diem, and travel pay calculations
  • Manage payroll-related processes and collaborate with Accounting to resolve payroll concerns
  • Plan, direct, and supervise payroll administration and maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate commission tracking spreadsheets and commission calculations
  • Oversee W-2 reconciliation and year-end payroll processing
  • Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
  • Develop, implement, and manage employee benefits programs that support cost effectiveness, competitiveness, and employee equity
  • Provide administrative HR support to senior leadership and franchise employees
  • Re-evaluate and enhance employee performance incentive programs
  • Implement and oversee employee mentorship initiatives
  • Develop video-based training materials for employee and vendor onboarding
  • Improve recruiting processes for employees and subcontractors
  • Assist with additional projects and operational initiatives as assigned
