About The Position

Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources Manager will work closely with leadership, providing guidance on employee engagement and employee relations matters. This role will manage the employee lifecycle from new-hire paperwork and benefit enrollment through termination, exit interviews and offboarding coordination. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for workplace policy and practices that will attract, grow, retain, and graduate Kiewit Luminarium talent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives as an HR team of one. In this highly hands-on onsite role, you’ll wear many hats, take full ownership of the organization’s HR function, and lead the employee experience from strategy through execution. Requirements

BA/BS degree with 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, including advising senior leaders.
Knowledge of regulations, policy, HRIS technology, and employment practices.
English proficiency required; additional languages a plus.
Ability to make well-reasoned decisions and recommendations based on organizational goals, critical thinking, research, assessment (qualitative and quantitative), and analysis.
Strong commitment to lifelong learning and to helping others achieve their potential.
Excellent judgment and high integrity with regard to trust and confidentiality.
Superb coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work well cross-functionally with multiple teams.
A strong work ethic and the ability to be a motivated, enthusiastic team player.
Willingness to work irregular and long hours during events.
General office environment. Work is sedentary in nature, but may require standing or walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Ability to perform position functions and must be able and willing to work on-site, in shared indoor and outdoor space with staff and the public following guidelines in accordance with the health department and local ordinances.

Responsibilities

Lead mission-aligned, people-centered workplace policies and practices to attract, grow, and retain talented individuals as well as diverse teams that may include full time employees, part-time employees, and volunteers
Administer a suite of competitive employee benefit programs through new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee benefit questions.
Partner with brokers, carriers, and HR vendors, to manage plans, renewals, and benefit compliance and audits.
Ensure HR-related compliance by staying abreast of legal changes, monitoring areas of potential liability, maintaining excellent records, and fulfilling employer requirements.
Manage employee relations matters, including complaints, conflicts, performance concerns, and workplace investigations while maintaining confidentiality and consistent practices.
Manage compensation records and processes, support salary benchmarking and compensation reviews, and provide recommendations related to pay, promotions, and internal equity.
Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.
Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
Partner with the Finance team on payroll and benefit changes each pay period.
Be goal-oriented and data-driven with regard to employee engagement, performance, and outcomes; learn from and educate others based on results, feedback and evaluation.
