About The Position

Ecolab is seeking an HR Manager I to support its Greensboro, NC site, with responsibility for over 375 associates and leaders. This role will also have leadership responsibility for an HR Partner supporting the High Point and Asheville sites. The HR Manager I will act as a trusted advisor to people leaders and a catalyst for high-performing teams. This role involves bringing practical HR expertise, sound judgment, and data-driven insight to help managers coach, develop, engage, and retain talent, while creating a consistent, positive employee experience. The position works closely with Centers of Excellence, Strategic HR Partners, Shared Services, and business leaders to translate enterprise people priorities into local impact and shape a culture where associates can grow, contribute, and do their best work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partner, employee relations, or manager coaching experience in a plant and/or distribution center
  • Demonstrated ability to advise leaders, resolve complex people matters, and balance employee experience with business needs
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to use data and insights to inform recommendations and improve outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience partnering across a matrixed HR model with COEs and Shared Services
  • Working knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, compliance, and HR policies
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Experience with HR systems, workforce data, dashboards, or analytics
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification

Responsibilities

  • Coach and advise managers on performance, development, engagement, employee relations, and workforce decisions.
  • Use data, insights, and sound HR judgment to help leaders build high-performing teams and address emerging talent needs.
  • Support implementation of enterprise HR programs and COE-led processes across client groups.
  • Partner with Strategic HR Partners, COEs, Shared Services, Legal, and business leaders to deliver consistent, compliant, and practical HR solutions.
  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters with care, speed, and appropriate partnership.
  • Support performance management, development planning, talent movement, and localized talent initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve HR processes and the employee experience.
  • Foster a positive work environment that supports engagement, well-being, inclusion, and Ecolab’s culture.
  • Help managers and associates embrace new ways of working and navigate change effectively.
  • Ensure HR practices align with Ecolab policies and applicable legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
