About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department by assisting with daily HR operations, recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement initiatives, and administrative functions. The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience in a wide variety of HR disciplines while providing support to the HR Business Partner and helping ensure positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous customer service, administrative, or office experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and HR best practices.
  • Positive attitude with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Reliable attendance and professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, or ADP is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support new hire onboarding by preparing orientation materials, coordinating new hire paperwork, and assisting with onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidential personnel files are organized and up to date.
  • Assist with data entry and reporting within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and other HR-related events.
  • Coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling with hiring managers and preparing interview materials.
  • Assist with employment verifications, reference checks, background screenings, and pre-employment activities.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documents, forms, spreadsheets, presentations, and other departmental resources.
  • Support training and development initiatives by tracking participation and preparing training materials.
  • Assist with performance management activities, including tracking review deadlines and preparing documentation.
  • Help maintain compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws through accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to employee questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and company information.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, copying, and organizing documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
