About The Position

The Human Resources Intern position at Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions USA LLC involves providing daily administrative support to the local HR team with regional oversight. Requirements

  • Recent graduate or final-year student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Genuine interest in gaining practical, hands-on HR experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of HR principles, concepts, and professional terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in accurate and clear information sharing.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment with exceptional attention to detail, consistently verifying and double-checking information before dissemination.
  • Highly organized and dependable, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate within a team.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, willing to learn, taking feedback constructively and adapting to a dynamic HR setting.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality.
  • Commitment to an extended internship period (e.g., 8-12 months).

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative support to the local HR team with regional oversight.
  • Assist in maintaining and auditing HR records, paperwork, and reports for accuracy.
  • Support onboarding activities, including verifying and tracking completion.
  • Assist with recruiting tasks such as coordinating job fairs and candidate communications.
  • Contribute to a positive location culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support with various Regional Projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in team brainstorming and support HR projects and future initiatives.
  • Help create and deliver presentations and communications for employees.
  • Measure and report on project progress and outcomes.
  • Learn and use internal HR software and tools.
  • Take part in formal and informal training to build HR skills.
  • Serve as backup by handling general office duties and covering during coworkers’ absences.
  • Document and present reports on internship contributions and learnings.
