About The Position

Maverick Power is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support the HR team in delivering a strong employee experience and helping the business grow with speed, accuracy, and teamwork. This internship offers hands-on exposure to core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and special projects. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional who wants practical HR experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year undergraduate student in an accredited university program pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications , or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, campus leadership, or office experience
  • Familiarity with HR principles, employment practices, or applicant tracking systems
  • Interest in recruiting, employee experience, and organizational development

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, reviewing resumes, and coordinating candidate communications
  • Support onboarding for new hires, including preparing materials, tracking pre-employment steps, and helping ensure a positive first-day experience
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR files, and data in HR systems with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and HR metrics as needed
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities
  • Assist with training coordination, meeting logistics, and internal communications
  • Partner with the HR team on special projects related to talent, compliance, process improvement, and organizational growth
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department
  • Other duties as assigned
