GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources department while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions. This position assists with HR operations including recruiting, employee records management, training coordination, and HR projects. The internship offers exposure to HR practices within a manufacturing environment while supporting initiatives that contribute to employee engagement, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Junior or senior standing preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting activities including posting job openings, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support onboarding activities such as preparing new hire paperwork and assisting with orientation materials.
  • Maintain and organize employee records and HR files in accordance with company policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Assist with data entry and reporting within HR systems and spreadsheets.
  • Help coordinate employee training sessions, meetings, and company events.
  • Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs, safety initiatives, or process improvement projects.
  • Assist with research and preparation of HR documents, policies, or presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
