About The Position

This internship offers a comprehensive HR experience, allowing the intern to gain hands-on exposure to various aspects of a functioning HR department. The role involves spearheading employee engagement events, managing a key project, and assisting with daily HR operations across the employee lifecycle. The intern will also play a role in developing initiatives to strengthen team cohesion and communication, ensuring all activities are inclusive and compliant with EEO standards. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated passion for human resources, specifically in employee engagement, workplace culture, and modern HR theories.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative problem solver with a detail oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the end to end planning, logistics, and execution of internal employee engagement events (e.g., team building activities, wellness workshops, recognition ceremonies, and social gatherings).
  • Drive the 3-month Employee Engagement Project, maintaining timelines, coordinating with vendors, and managing the allocated budget.
  • Assist the HR team with daily operations across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding processes, HRIS data management, and performance management tracking.
  • Develop initiatives that align with organizational behavior principles and current leadership theories to strengthen team cohesion and information flow across departments.
  • Design and distribute post-event surveys to measure engagement levels, analyze the data, and provide actionable recommendations for future HR initiatives.
  • Ensure all events and engagement strategies are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with equal employment opportunity (EEO) standards, creating a welcoming environment for all staff.
  • Draft compelling internal communications to promote upcoming events and encourage high participation rates.
