About The Position

As an HR Intern with Hillphoenix, you will gain hands-on experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources, learn from HR leaders, and develop a practical understanding of the manufacturing industry. At the end of the internship, you will give a presentation about what you learned and how those learnings can be sustained to continuously improve the team member and candidate experience.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a similar field at an accredited university.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate tact and integrity.
• Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Learn the facility’s operations and how HR supports business operations.
• Assist with coordinating new-hire orientations and onboarding, developing programs, and increasing employee communications.
• Analyze current HR processes and procedures and suggest alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness.
• Support recruiting by updating job descriptions, posting positions, reviewing applications and resumes, and organizing candidate interviews.
• Update company databases with new employee contact information and employment details, and maintain current employee files.
• Respond to staff inquiries about HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the manager.
• Present at the end of the internship on what was learned and how to sustain those learnings to improve the team member and candidate experience.
