About The Position

Amentum is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to assist in managing a program of 350 employees located onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will partner with the HR Manager and program managers to ensure program success. The perfect candidate for this role will be positive, self-motivated, high energy, demonstrate solid judgment, able to multi-task, work under deadlines, and be able to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels of the organization. This position is expected to last for 6 months with the potential of becoming permanent.

Requirements

  • Must have 3, or more, years of direct experience in Human Resources.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in providing hands-on HR Generalist support.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in assessing and resolving a variety of employee relations issues.
  • Must have knowledge of HR Laws and disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft office professional software
  • Must have a working knowledge of HRIS systems.
  • Must be able to obtain an active DoW Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience supporting a Government contract
  • Have experience utilizing the Workday HRIS system
  • Have a BS/BA in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Have an active DoW Security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Assist in support a government contract, NORAD, of 350 employees residing in several locations primarily in the Colorado Springs area.
  • Lead the process for all New Hire actions for onboarding and deliver New Hire Orientation.
  • Ensure collection of I9’s and other new hire actions.
  • Manage the HRIS system, Workday; Entering and approving new hires and initiating and approving employee actions while ensuring data integrity.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to line and program management.
  • Respond to employee inquiries.
  • Manage employee relations and investigations.
  • Coach and support managers and employees.
  • Lead program-specific efforts addressing program needs.
  • Act as liaison between employees and corporate benefits and payroll departments.
  • Prepare reports for analysis and distribution and ensure employee data integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
