About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST! Status: Full-Time MBH is scheduled to open in mid-2026, and we are building our team in preparation. Join our dynamic team at Meadowview Behavioral Hospital and make a difference as a Human Resources Generalist! In this important role, you will support the hospital’s Human Resources operations by helping foster a positive, employee-oriented workplace culture focused on engagement, professionalism, accountability, and service excellence. The Human Resources Generalist will provide day-to-day HR support while assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. This role partners closely with hospital leadership and employees to support organizational goals and ensure a positive employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience required, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with HRIS/payroll systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities for open positions, including job postings, interview coordination, pre-employment processes, onboarding paperwork, and orientation planning.
  • Ensure all required pre-employment documentation, background checks, and onboarding requirements are completed prior to hire.
  • Prepare employment offers and personnel-related documentation as directed by Human Resources leadership and hospital administration.
  • Support employee benefit orientation, open enrollment activities, and enrollment processes for eligible employees.
  • Maintain leave of absence records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining OSHA logs and other regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Support preparation for Joint Commission, DPH, and other regulatory surveys and audits.
  • Maintain HRIS and payroll data accuracy and prepare Personnel Action Forms as needed.
  • Serve as a resource to employees by answering general HR-related questions and escalating matters appropriately when necessary.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition activities, and HR projects as assigned.
