Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources, employee onboarding, training coordination, workforce development, or related field.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of onboarding processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and human resource information systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, and telephones.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare, community health centers, or workforce development programs.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, onboarding best practices, and employee development principles.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to travel between MedLink Georgia locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FMLA/Short Term Disability processes, including tracking status, meeting with employees, providing paperwork, monitoring hours, and coordinating with insurance providers.
  • Conduct new employee orientations, collect and file documents, prepare materials, welcome new hires, assist with system logins, and ensure benefits are completed.
  • Handle various HR functions such as filing payments, conducting background checks, sending W2s, managing employee records, processing verifications, and updating HR systems.
  • Serve as the point of contact for student services, tracking student schedules, ensuring paperwork completion, coordinating IT access, and managing feedback forms.
  • Coordinate and order employee items such as jackets/t-shirts and business cards.
  • Create employee badges and schedule mandated reporting training.
  • Add new employees and employees of the month to the monthly newsletter.
  • Maintain pre- and post-onboarding checklists.
  • Manage Employee of the Month nominations, including gathering materials and presentations.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the HR Director.
