About The Position

Ready to be the supportive heartbeat of our mission-driven team? Planned Parenthood of Maryland (PPM) is seeking a proactive, customer-focused Human Resources Generalist. This role is about using technology, strong relationships, and HR know-how to make HR processes as accurate, seamless and efficient as possible, so that our dedicated staff can focus on delivering essential reproductive healthcare. As the HR Generalist, you will be a vital resource for our employees and managers. You'll be the HR contact for payroll processing and the person who ensures our employee data is accurate and up-to-date through all phases of the employee lifecycle, from on-boarding to off-boarding. Benefits communication, vendor management, and supporting credentialing are other key responsibilities. You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow in every aspect of HR!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience within the Recruitment and/or Human Resources field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in HR administration, HRIS, or IT roles.
  • High level of comfort and experience with applicant tracking and HRIS systems (experience with ADP WFN, Lattice, and Lever is highly preferred!).
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle complex, confidential personnel matters with integrity, tact, and non-judgmental listening.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of benefits management and employee engagement experience, plus general knowledge of employment law.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of our employee data across ADP Workforce Now, Lattice, and Lever.
  • Ensure smooth full-cycle on-boarding, off-boarding, and accurate payroll processing.
  • Serve as the friendly, go-to expert for our staff's FAQs regarding benefits, policies, FMLA, and more, while efficiently coordinating our HR shared inbox.
  • Drive active engagement during Open Enrollment, manage vendor relationships, and educate new and existing employees about our agency's benefit offerings to boost retention.
  • Partner with the credentialing team during the recruitment of medical professionals and perform routine audits to maintain our perpetual readiness for accreditation.
