About The Position

As a human resources generalist, you play a key role in accelerating organizational success by performing HR-related duties on a professional level. You collaborate closely with other members of the HR team supporting the overall mission of the organization. Your responsibilities are primarily in functional areas of employee engagement & support, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, employment law compliance and human resources software administration and recruiting & general HR support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or relevant area; a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
  • 3 – 7 years of human resources generalist experience.
  • Strong experience in database management; experience in HR-related software highly preferred.
  • Superb computer literacy with business software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, etc.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet the criteria of ISG’s insurance carrier for acceptance of coverage.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP OR SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer company benefit programs including coordinating benefit enrollment and record-keeping and communicate with service providers for routine and COBRA administration.
  • Administer the company’s performance management software.
  • Administer HRIS and other HR-related systems.
  • Maintain employee digital personnel records and update records such as employee status changes in the HR software.
  • Process onboarding and offboarding tasks for new and separating employees.
  • Assist the department in a variety of ways as needed.
  • Leading or supporting HR initiatives and activities for employee and manager training.
  • Educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, services and benefits.
  • Consulting & coaching managers to drive performance.
  • Serving as a contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Partner with management teams to facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate.
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Create & manage company onboarding programs.
  • Lead employee engagement programs.
  • Support company-sponsored events as the need arises.
  • Assist in recruitment process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes and initial interviews.
  • Support the company by completing other duties as assigned.
  • Provide guidance on human resources operational issues and employment law.
  • Develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs.
  • Champion and administer compensation and benefit programs for the organization.
  • Carry out special projects or requests utilizing your solid grasp of the human resource body of knowledge.
  • Complete compliance reporting including EEOC, OSHA, etc.
  • Ensure TVFC compliance with federal, state, and local employment law related to the HR duties you perform.
  • Administer Workers’ Compensation claims, coordinating with insurance provider to submit accident reports and comply with OSHA and state reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for HR software.
  • Interpret benefit coverage and answer employee inquiries about benefits and other HR-related duties.
  • Explain and train on various company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive, professional perception of the HR department as you carry out all your duties.
