About The Position

The HR Generalist supports human resources operations and functions for all Northeast Community Clinic employees. The role encompasses all aspects of HR administration including compliance, HRIS implementation, conflict resolution, standardization of policies and requires strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure recruitment of NECC staff are highly aligned to the business and positional needs.
  • Personnel file administration including compliant record keeping retention, confidentiality, and maintenance to ensure files are audit ready.
  • Prepares and conducts new employee onboarding, facilitating enrollment in programs such as benefits and review of HRIS system use, partnering with recruitment on required new hire training and documentation of completion.
  • Offboards employees appropriately by partnering with payroll for final wages and providing appropriate documentation to employees, in addition to managing UI responses and claims as needed.
  • Perform benefits administration to include auditing of benefits invoicing, open enrollment, and QLE’s.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Payroll on wage compliance, compensation changes and required documentation execution.
  • Assist HR Director with all aspects of employee relations investigations.
  • Coordinate disciplinary action process.
  • Administers annual performance management cycle, ensuring completed evaluations have appropriate feedback and is processed in accordance with NECC requirements.
  • Processes all leaves of absences in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, which also includes proactive creation and maintenance of all documentation (i.e. tracking of used time, etc.), collection and processing of return to work documentation, and assist with evaluating accommodations as needed.
  • Maintains HRIS system and provides reports as needed for federal and state reporting.
  • Handles Worker’s Compensation administration, reporting and follow-up.
  • Development and administration of personnel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory statutes, local, state and federal laws.
  • Travel to clinic sites in Los Angeles County (up to 20%) with short or immediate notice.
  • Other duties as designated by HR Director.
