JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of a dynamic and engaged HR team, supporting employees and leadership across multiple locations. This role will function as both a hands-on HR Generalist and the company-wide lead for recruiting and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate brings proven full-cycle recruiting experience, a strong understanding of workforce planning, and the ability to build and maintain talent pipelines using innovative and creative sourcing strategies. In addition to spearheading recruiting efforts, this role supports employee relations, onboarding, compliance, performance management, and HR programs in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Human Resources experience, with strong full‑cycle recruiting experience covering all aspects of talent acquisition, including pipeline development, sourcing strategies, job fairs/hiring events, interviewing, and offer management, and at least 2 years of HR Generalist work (employee relations, onboarding, compliance). Experience may overlap.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative and proactive recruiting strategies.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Prior experience in the service, construction, manufacturing, or related industry preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate conflict while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Results‑oriented with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data, synthesize information, and provide sound recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and recruiting platforms preferred.
  • Comfortable adopting new technologies and learning new systems and processes.
  • Demonstrates high sense of urgency, resilience, professionalism, and passion for Human Resources.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for all company positions, including field, technical, administrative, and leadership roles.
  • Serve as the primary owner of the recruiting function company-wide, ensuring consistency, compliance, and strong candidate experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, qualifications, and hiring timelines; provide guidance on market conditions and talent availability.
  • Develop and execute creative and innovative sourcing strategies, including passive candidate sourcing and non-traditional recruiting methods.
  • Build and maintain ongoing talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Draft, post, and manage job postings; continuously optimize postings to improve candidate quality.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, coordinate interview schedules, and facilitate the selection process through offer stage.
  • Prepare and extend offers in partnership with HR leadership and manage pre-employment steps.
  • Track recruiting metrics such as candidate flow and time-to-fill; recommend process improvements.
  • Serve as a trusted recruiting advisor to managers, promoting accountability and best practices throughout the hiring process.
  • Administer HR programs related to training and development, performance management, benefits, compensation, leave management, compliance, staffing and onboarding.
  • Provide advice and counsel to operations leaders to facilitate the resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Take part in conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and coaching sessions as needed.
  • Support administration of benefits programs and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit administrators.
  • Process payroll documents as needed including pay change notices, backup documentation etc.
  • Assure and assess compliance with human resources policies and procedures as well as applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural issues and inquiries.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for process improvements related to standard operating procedures and procedures.
  • Perform research and/or data analysis on HR related topics as requested including but not limited to employee retention data, payroll reports, employee rosters, etc.
  • Responsible for tracking metrics, extracting information from a database and compiling reports for distribution.
  • Process and track employee leaves and accommodation requests.
  • Participate in employee engagement events from start to finish, including planning, organizing, and execution.
  • Take part in annual government reporting including AAP, ACA, EEO etc.
  • Take meeting minutes and compose follow up assignment emails as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
