About The Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated HR Generalist to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our organization's human resources functions. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional with a solid understanding of various HR disciplines, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As an HR Generalist, you will contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in HR roles, with a strong foundation in employee relations, onboarding, benefits admin, and HR operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle confidential and sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency in PayChex and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing employee needs.
  • Participate in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and assisting in the selection of candidates.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork and orientations are completed.
  • Collaborate with HR Director and supervisors to develop and implement performance management strategies, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Provide guidance on addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of relevant training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the creation of career development plans and succession planning initiatives with Director of HR.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist Director of HR in conducting salary benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness within the market.
  • Assist Director of HR in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Organize events, surveys, and programs that foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Participate in various HR projects, such as process improvements, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and organizational restructuring efforts.
