About The Position

The People Operations Generalist fosters and promotes the engagement of Niowave’s core values at all levels while supporting organizational compliance, operational accountability, and workforce practices aligned with applicable employment laws and company philosophy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years progressive Human Resources (People Operations) experience including: Administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, wage and hour compliance, timekeeping processes, and employment law-related activities
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Conducting audits, maintaining documentation integrity, and supporting operational compliance initiatives
  • Handling employee relations matters and workplace documentation practices
  • Effective onboarding practices

  • Develops and maintains good relationships, gains the confidence of others, and works effectively in a multidisciplinary matrix environment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years progressive Human Resources or employment compliance experience
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or related certification
  • Experience within manufacturing, technical, scientific, or regulated operational environments
  • Change Management training

Responsibilities

  • Supports activities including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, staff status changes, payroll auditing, and off-cycle that impact payroll processing
  • Supports Talent Engagement and recruiting efforts by coordinating and scheduling candidate interviews with hiring managers and interview teams
  • Assists with onboarding activities including preparation of new hire documentation
  • Supports new hire onboarding and orientation activities to ensure a positive and compliant employee onboarding experience
  • Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, FLSA, ESTA, wage and hour requirements, and related employment compliance obligations
  • Supports return-to-work planning, accommodation evaluations, and staff member reintegration efforts while balancing operational needs and legal requirements
