About The Position

Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of Human Resources operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a short-term Human Resources Generalist (Human Capital & Employee Relations Support) to support our client within the Department of Transportation. Department of Transportation is located in SE Washington, DC, and this position is to be performed on-site.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive human resources experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience), preferably within a federal government agency or federal contracting environment.
Advanced proficiency in Office Suite (Excel or Google Sheets data manipulation, PowerPoint or Google Slides dashboard creation), electronic document management systems (EDMS), and federal HRIS applications (e.g., Labor & Employee Relations Information System ( LERIS ), eOPF, Monster Government Solutions, FPPS).
Working knowledge of OPM guidelines, federal employee relations procedures, confidential case file management, and cross-organizational data reconciliation.
Operate a PC and phone in an office environment.
Work in a primarily sedentary position.
Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required.
Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, consolidate, and review cross-divisional data calls and reporting requirements originating from the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Extract data sets, pull metric reports, and update key accomplishments to populate executive leadership presentation slides, dashboards, and recurring status reports.
Maintain master tracking mechanisms to ensure timely data submissions.
Log intake inquiries, track critical case milestones, and maintain updated tracking systems for sensitive employee relations matters, including Anti-Harassment and Reasonable Accommodation inquiries.
Assemble, organize, index, and format official personnel or litigation case binders required for administrative or legal proceedings.
Perform daily data entry, document indexing, and case file maintenance in compliance with federal records retention guidelines and privacy regulations.
Track eligibility data, coordinate logistics, process entries, and execute the distribution of awards across all FTA HQ and regional offices.
Receive, process, and respond to compensation inquiries and documentation requests from current and former employees in a timely manner.
Audit administrative documentation for accuracy prior to filing or forwarding to processing centers.
