About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle and provides day to day HR operational support across multiple functional areas, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR policies and processes. This role is ideal for an HR professional with 2 to 5 years of experience.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or advisor role
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Clear Criminal Abstract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycom, Workday, ADP, etc.) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries
  • Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment standards
  • Support employee relations matters, including attendance, performance concerns, and workplace issues
  • Support recruitment activities and coordinate onboarding activities when required
  • Ensure employment agreements are properly executed and filed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HRIS records
  • Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and internal policies
  • Support audits, reporting, and data requests related to HR metrics
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and HR programs
  • Assist in updating HR policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, consistency, and employee experience
  • Support change management and communication initiatives
