We are seeking a full time motivated and skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist is a detail-oriented HR professional with strong expertise in payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee lifecycle operations. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for payroll processing, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance, while also supporting recruiting, employee relations, and training initiatives. The position partners closely with HR leadership, Finance, and practice teams to ensure accurate, complaint, and efficient HR operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and can effectively balance transactional execution with employee support and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of HR operations, payroll, and benefits administration experience.
  • ADP HRIS experience strongly preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • High attention to detail with strong auditing, data accuracy, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Effective communication skills and a process-driven mindset focused on consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and SmartCompliance, with strong payroll processing and multi-state compliance knowledge.
  • Expertise in benefits and leave administration, including FMLA, ACA tracking, and eligibility management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • ADP HRIS experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for bi-weekly payroll processing via ADP, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Oversee payroll tax compliance through ADP SmartCompliance, including review of tax filings and notices, wage garnishments, unemployment claims, and coordination of issue resolution with Finance and third-party vendors.
  • Audit payroll data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Partner with Finance and HR leadership to ensure payroll accuracy and reporting alignment.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, and terminations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Manage employee leave programs (FMLA, state leaves, disability, and LOA tracking), ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Track employee hours worked to ensure ACA compliance and eligibility requirements.
  • Coordinate with benefits carriers and brokers to ensure accurate coverage and timely resolution of claims.
  • Support employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, and issue resolution in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, compensation updates, and exit processes.
  • Support training and development initiatives, including coordination, tracking, and compliance reporting.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR processes.
  • Perform additional HR duties as assigned.
