We are seeking a driven Human Resources Generalist who is passionate about people, skilled at problem-solving, and able to foster an environment where excellence thrives. This individual will be responsible for managing the administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs, and carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits, compensation, compliance, and safety. This position will collaborate frequently with our company-wide HR team. Collaborate with the leadership team to conduct onsite interviews
Assist in essential hiring decisions
Conduct new employee orientations
Maintain accurate, detailed employee records
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including SOX audit requirements
Utilize HRIS to maximize efficiency and accuracy
Continuous improvement in paperless, technology-driven recordkeeping and HR processes
Process bi-weekly payroll
Conduct exit interviews
Handle out-processing records, including payroll
Oversee and maintain a culture of compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
Handle unemployment and workers' compensation claims

Responsibilities

Forge a strong partnership with the plant manager, aligning HR initiatives with the operational goals and priorities of the plant. Together, you’ll develop strategies that maximize efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement.
Cultivate an inclusive workplace culture, championing inclusion and fairness to create an environment where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Partner with supervisors to develop goals, implement measurement systems, and communicate performance expectations for employees. You’ll have the opportunity to ensure that every team member knows exactly what they’re working towards and why it matters.
Interpret HR policies regarding employee discipline, absences, tardiness, etc., and guide both managers and employees through difficult conversations with empathy and compassion. You will ensure that every decision is made with fairness, transparency, and respect for all parties involved.

Conduct new employee orientations. You will be the friendly face that greets our new employees, making them feel at home and excited to join the team.
