About The Position

Warren Street Hotel, Firmdale’s New York property, is seeking a dynamic and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support our team culture, employee experience, and day-to-day HR operations. This is a fully on-site role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment and enjoys balancing recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and team engagement. The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in attracting top talent, supporting employees and managers, ensuring payroll accuracy, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in hospitality
  • Experience with payroll processing and recruitment
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR training/certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hotel positions
  • Source candidates through job boards, networking, and industry outreach
  • Coordinate interviews, references, offers, and pre-employment checks
  • Maintain candidate pipelines for future openings
  • Lead onboarding processes and ensure smooth new hire integration
  • Support orientation and training coordination
  • Process payroll accurately using ADP Workforce Now
  • Support managers and employees with timekeeping, PTO, and self-service tools
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
  • Assist with benefits administration and HR documentation
  • Support managers with coaching, policy interpretation, and employee concerns
  • Conduct or assist with workplace investigations and follow-up actions
  • Manage review schedules including introductory and annual evaluations
  • Promote fair and consistent application of policies and procedures
  • Support employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives
  • Assist with staff events, internal communications, and morale-building programs
  • Build strong relationships across all hotel departments
