About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist. This role is based in Nacogdoches, TX. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the HR Manager in the development, implementation, and administration of HR programs and initiatives to support business objectives and maintain positive employee relations. This position facilitates recruitment, employee training and development, affirmative action and other compliance activities, compensation, benefits, employee engagement and employee relations. Also, this position will utilize data analysis techniques to proactively identify opportunities and develop recommendations for improvement both within the HR function as well as the assigned business groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1-2 years of Human Resources experience, including internships.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Special knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and procedures as they relate to recruitment, terminations, AAP/EEO, FLSA, unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, etc.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
  • Process oriented approach to managing work.
  • Ability to advance process standardization and promote continuous improvement using Lean management tools and creativity.
  • Analytical ability including identifying patterns, trends, associations, and cause-effect relationships from that data.
  • Ability to break down complex situations into manageable components to solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with employees and managers.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal, conducting presentations and training, employee counseling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and leadership skills necessary to facilitate meetings, plan events, etc.
  • Excellent technical HR skills in the areas of recruiting, compensations, benefits, EEO/AAP, employee relations, etc.
  • Ability to drive results working with cross-functional team through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Superior knowledge of most aspects of the HR function and significant experience with organizational effectiveness.
  • Current knowledge in state and federal labor laws, OSHA law, EEO and Affirmative Action.

Responsibilities

  • Lead proactive employee relations initiatives and drive engagement across all levels.
  • Support hiring, promotions, and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles; manage contingent staffing with external partners.
  • Implement inclusion, diversity, and affirmative action initiatives; lead outreach, training, and coordination of I&D efforts.
  • Develop and apply fair HR policies; coach supervisors to ensure accountability and high performance.
  • Resolve employee relations issues, provide guidance on concerns, and manage conflict resolution and ER investigations.
  • Support compensation and benefits processes, including salary adjustments, surveys, and employee inquiries.
  • Promote a progressive HR environment focused on continuous improvement, communication, and teamwork.
  • Contribute to special projects, continuous improvement events, audits, and safety initiatives.
