About The Position

MaineDOT is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to supervise day-to-day training operations and support workforce analysis within the Human Resources Office. This position oversees staff responsible for coordinating, scheduling, developing, and delivering employee training programs while also providing workforce data analysis and reporting to support Human Resources operations and decision-making. The position serves as a frontline Human Resources supervisor with responsibility for ensuring training activities are administered effectively, employees receive required and job-specific training, and workforce data is maintained and analyzed to support organizational needs. The position supervises a small team of training professionals, coordinates training logistics and program delivery, and provides guidance on routine human resources matters. Work is performed under general supervision, with overall training strategy, program direction, and complex human resources matters managed by senior HR leadership.

Requirements

  • A six (6) year combination of education, training, and/or professional experience in employee development, workforce training, organizational learning, or human resources.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting workforce data.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing reports and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or administering employee development initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
