About The Position

ACRC is seeking an HR Generalist with experience in Leave of Absence Administration where they are responsible for managing employee leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA accommodations, and Workers' Compensation coordination, while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, coordinates with payroll, benefits, and maintains accurate, confidential documentation throughout the leave process. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Human Resources with expertise in leave administration, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or another related field.
  • At least three years of Human Resources specialist or generalist experience, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience of leave of absence administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment.
  • A valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance to occasionally travel to other ACRC offices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or other related field.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
  • California certification designation (PHR-CA or SPHR-CA).
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
  • Non-profit experience.
  • Union employer experience.
