About The Position

We are seeking an operational and system savvy HR Generalist to oversee the day-to-day administration and coordination of our core HR programs. In this role, you will be the ultimate organizational go to resource for our HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now), manage compliance, and administer benefits, leave of absence tracking, and performance reviews. As a key partner to our staff and leadership team, you will ensure our administrative workflows run seamlessly while acting as a true champion of our culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on HR experience required.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office products and HRIS systems.
  • Exceptional data management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to collect, analyze, and report key HR metrics.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. You must bring a strong customer-service mindset rooted in diplomacy and absolute discretion.
  • A structured thinker who can design efficient workflows, adapt to changing organizational strategies, and remain objective when dealing with sensitive or emotional topics.

  • Direct experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, driving system functionality, troubleshooting, data maintenance, and optimization.
  • Administer new hire onboarding records and process documentation into the HRIS system.
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate time tracking for hourly and salaried non-exempt employees.
  • Maintain, audit, and systematically manage all physical and digital personnel files to ensure absolute compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for routine employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and leaves of absence.
  • Administer our Total Talent Rewards programs (health, dental, disability, 403(b), PTO, FMLA, and unique agency offerings like Shabbaton (sabbatical leaves).
  • Track PTO and Long-Term Illness (LTI) accruals, executing bi-annual PTO audits.
  • Manage day-to-day FMLA coordination, ensuring timely employee communication, tracking, and partnership with payroll and benefit providers.
  • Conduct monthly reporting and invoice auditing for workers' compensation and benefit coverage.
  • Oversee the tracking and completion of mandatory employee compliance trainings, proactively following up to meet regulatory and licensing standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding background checks, references, and annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.
  • Stay up-to-date on legal and government compliance regulations affecting HR functions.
  • Partner closely with our Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist to conduct new hire orientations, verify I-9 documentation, and welcome new team members.
  • Manage the central HR email inbox, answering or delegating questions efficiently.
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador, practicing our Positive Rules of Communication and supporting collaborative agency-wide special events.
