About The Position

Axis Portable Air is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our growing nationwide workforce from our corporate office in Chandler, Arizona. This position plays a vital role in the daily administration of Human Resources by partnering with employees, managers, and the HR team to deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable HR professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and helping employees and leaders succeed. Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with leave administration, benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between company locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a HR resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
  • Support new hire onboarding, orientation, offboarding, employment verifications, and personnel record maintenance.
  • Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education.
  • Work closely with HR Manager to administer leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation to support compliance.
  • Assist HR Managers with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
  • Coordinate employee training programs, including required compliance training and professional development initiatives.
  • Assist managers with employee coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Maintain HRIS records and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation to support business decisions and regulatory requirements.
  • Support payroll and timekeeping processes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
