About The Position

This role is responsible for a wide range of human resources functions, including payroll coordination, employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, record maintenance, and supporting recruitment efforts. The Human Resources Generalist will act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, ensure compliance with laws and policies, and collaborate with the HR team to foster positive employee relations and a strong workplace culture. This position also involves staying current on HR trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience with payroll data preparation and submission.
  • Proficiency in managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave programs).
  • Ability to maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Experience partnering with third-party administrators for Workers’ Compensation, STD, LTD, FMLA, and PFL claims.
  • Skill in providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • Experience processing and verifying employee lifecycle documentation.
  • Familiarity with the full recruitment lifecycle and ATS systems.
  • Ability to promote positive employee relations, engagement, and workplace culture.
  • Experience handling HR-related matters effectively.
  • Commitment to staying current on HR trends, employment laws, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate local payroll data, ensuring accuracy and timely submission for processing.
  • Manage and facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including all required system updates and documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and leave programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with third-party administrators to support Workers’ Compensation, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), FMLA, and Paid Family Leave (PFL) claims.
  • Provide guidance and clarification on company policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to employee lifecycle activities (e.g., status changes, compensation, leaves of absence).
  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including applicant tracking system (ATS) updates, resume screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding activities.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and broader HR team to promote positive employee relations, enhance engagement, and strengthen workplace culture.
  • Assist with both internal and external HR-related matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Stay current on HR trends, employment laws, and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support HR operations and organizational goals.
