About The Position

Pentagon Technologies is looking for an HR Generalist to be part of our team! You’ll be based in our Austin, TX facility, and will also remotely support our new Mesa, AZ facility. You will touch on all aspects of HR, with a primary focus on being an on-site point-of-contact for management and employees, supporting them in various aspects of human resources and providing generalist level expertise. This position has matrix reporting to the HR Lead and factory Director of Operations (DOO). This is an on-site position during regular business hours with no flexibility for remote or hybrid. This position may have infrequent travel (to other company factories) of up to 15%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations, labor relations, communications, or related field (preferred) and will consider experience on year-to-year basis in lieu of 4-year degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, prefer 3-4+ years progressive experience HR experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: onboarding, payroll, compensation; progressive disciplinary; employee relations and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Provides day-to-day HR operations support to include but not limited to: employee orientation and exit, HR policies and processes, benefits admin (open enrollment, leaves, etc.), leaves and accommodations management, HR compliance, etc.
  • Supports the recruiting function by screening and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions including completing job offers, job postings, and job descriptions.
  • Responds to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
