About The Position

Hai Hospitality is accepting applications for an experienced Human Resources Generalist for our Home Office based in Austin, TX. We are an innovative and growing restaurant group looking for individuals who are collaborative, thoughtful, and passionate about supporting people. As an HR Generalist, you'll play a key role in supporting our restaurant and home office teams by administering HR programs, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies, managing employee relations matters, supporting training initiatives, and helping create an exceptional employee experience across multiple locations. This role works closely with operational leaders, training teams, and employees throughout the organization to provide guidance, solve problems, and support the continued growth of Hai Hospitality.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience required
  • Multi-unit experience required
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • hospitality or restaurant industry experience strongly preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support HR programs, policies, and procedures across multiple restaurant locations
  • Partner with leaders and employees to resolve employee relations concerns and conduct workplace investigations as needed
  • Support compliance initiatives, training programs, and required reporting activities
  • Serve as an administrator for key HR systems and ensure data accuracy across platforms
  • Monitor employment law updates and assist with policy and procedure implementation
  • Create reports and provide HR insights to support business decisions
  • Partner with operational and training teams to enhance the employee experience
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
