About The Position

ACRC is seeking an HR Generalist & Payroll/AP Specialist to administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA accommodations, and Workers’ Compensation, while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws. This position also supports payroll processing, accounts payable, employee reimbursements, financial reporting, audits, and other related accounting functions. This role also serves as a resource to employees and managers, coordinates with benefits and third-party vendors, maintains confidential records, and assists with compliance, policies, procedures, and general operational projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of one year of progressive experience in Human Resources, accounting, payroll, financial analysis/reporting, or related functions.
  • At least one year of leave of absence administration experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and consistently apply regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage complex work, meet deadlines, analyze and summarize data, and prepare organized reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
  • A valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, SPHR-CA, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Nonprofit and/or union experience.
