About The Position

This job is responsible for providing advice to business unit executives and senior-level managers on Human Resources (HR) issues. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, development, execution, and administration of effective policies and program to achieve short- and long-term goals of a specific business unit. Job expectations include leveraging a broad perspective and dedicated network to drive organizational success through the creation and execution of human capital plans aligned to business priorities. The Human Resources Executive (HRE) will be a member of the Private Bank HR team. The HRE will support clients within the Private Bank- facing off with senior executives to drive people strategy and execute HR programs and processes. The HRE will develop and execute tactical plans at the business unit level to achieve strategic objectives, and combine strong organizational development skills and change management skills with core HR skills (talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations) to help the business achieve its objectives. This is a high visibility, high impact position supporting multiple senior business leaders. The successful candidate will be a strong, decisive, results oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. Bank of America Private Bank is made up of more than 4,300 professionals that provide vast resources and customized solutions to help meet clients' wealth structuring, investment management, banking and credit needs. Clients are served by teams of experienced advisors offering a range of financial products and services, including investment management, financial and succession planning, philanthropic and specialty asset management, family office services, custom credit solutions, financial administration and family trust stewardship. Internal employees who are currently working from home are still eligible to apply. However, if selected for the role, you may be required to work onsite in accordance with the workplace excellence policy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HR Generalist/Talent or equivalent experience - broad experience across all areas of HR
  • Deep technical HR competence that includes HR generalist experience and broad knowledge across HR disciplines
  • Must have extensive experience in client management around complex strategic HR issues such as talent management, talent development, org design/development, change management, etc
  • Demonstrated ability as an enterprise/global thought leader who can proactively influence, drive change and innovation with strong executive presence
  • Experience working directly with/consulting a business leader on HR strategy
  • A proven track record in developing strategy and driving change to help drive business results and execute on key initiatives
  • Experience managing in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and highly complex environment
  • Ability to influence using a balance of technical HR expertise, business acumen, and relationship skills
  • Must have strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, ability to develop strong interpersonal alliances at all levels, and connect with senior executives on a business and personal level

Responsibilities

  • Establishes the strategy for Enterprise and line of business specific Human Resources (HR) priorities in addition to ensuring organizational effectiveness across talent acquisition, performance management, talent development and learning, succession planning, compensation, etc.
  • Applies lenses of operational excellence, organizational health, and diversity and inclusion across all HR people processes
  • Partners with senior business leaders to ensure that programs and practices are in alignment with Enterprise culture and conduct principles, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership
  • Oversees and defines the strategy for critical workforce activities, including but not limited to headcount reporting and analytics, financials/expenses, promotions, diversity and inclusion, performance, talent management, and key cross-HR initiatives
  • Acts as an enterprise leader by building effective teams, developing talent, managing risk, and creating an inclusive environment that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives
  • Ensures the team is appropriately leveraging HR systems and reporting tools (i.e., Workday and Tableau) to inform effective and strategic decision making
