The HRE is responsible for advising business unit executives and senior-level managers on Human Resources (HR) issues, including strategic planning, development, execution, and administration of effective policies and programs to achieve short- and long-term business unit goals. The role involves leveraging a broad perspective and network to drive organizational success through human capital plans aligned to business priorities. As a member of the Private Bank HR team, the HRE will support clients within the Private Bank, engaging with senior executives to drive people strategy and execute HR programs and processes. This includes developing and executing tactical plans at the business unit level to achieve strategic objectives, combining strong organizational development and change management skills with core HR skills (talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations). This is a high visibility, high impact position supporting multiple senior business leaders, requiring a strong, decisive, results-oriented leader capable of developing and managing relationships across the company and with various partners based on trust, teamwork, and knowledge. The Bank of America Private Bank comprises over 4,300 professionals providing resources and customized solutions for clients' wealth structuring, investment management, banking, and credit needs, including investment management, financial and succession planning, philanthropic and specialty asset management, family office services, custom credit solutions, financial administration, and family trust stewardship. While internal employees currently working from home are eligible to apply, if selected, they may be required to work onsite in accordance with the workplace excellence policy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HR Generalist/Talent or equivalent experience - broad experience across all areas of HR
  • Deep technical HR competence that includes HR generalist experience and broad knowledge across HR disciplines
  • Must have extensive experience in client management around complex strategic HR issues such as talent management, talent development, org design/development, change management, etc
  • Demonstrated ability as an enterprise/global thought leader who can proactively influence, drive change and innovation with strong executive presence
  • Experience working directly with/consulting a business leader on HR strategy
  • A proven track record in developing strategy and driving change to help drive business results and execute on key initiatives
  • Experience managing in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and highly complex environment
  • Ability to influence using a balance of technical HR expertise, business acumen, and relationship skills
  • Must have strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, ability to develop strong interpersonal alliances at all levels, and connect with senior executives on a business and personal level

Responsibilities

  • Establishes the strategy for Enterprise and line of business specific Human Resources (HR) priorities in addition to ensuring organizational effectiveness across talent acquisition, performance management, talent development and learning, succession planning, compensation, etc.
  • Applies lenses of operational excellence, organizational health, and diversity and inclusion across all HR people processes
  • Partners with senior business leaders to ensure that programs and practices are in alignment with Enterprise culture and conduct principles, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership
  • Oversees and defines the strategy for critical workforce activities, including but not limited to headcount reporting and analytics, financials/expenses, promotions, diversity and inclusion, performance, talent management, and key cross-HR initiatives
  • Acts as an enterprise leader by building effective teams, developing talent, managing risk, and creating an inclusive environment that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives
  • Ensures the team is appropriately leveraging HR systems and reporting tools (i.e., Workday and Tableau) to inform effective and strategic decision making
