About The Position

The Human Resources Director leads generalist HR matters at Associated Veterinary Partners (AVP), a rapidly growing, multi-state veterinary company. The role spans HR due diligence and onboarding for acquired veterinary hospitals, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation management, employee engagement, learning and development, payroll, and benefits. As a member of the core leadership team, the Director will build AVP’s HR function and initial benefits offering, working closely with the CEO and COO. The Director will build the organizational HR strategy, support acquisitions, develop benefits partnerships and programs, and provide HR support to acquired practices. The role also includes building hiring pipelines, developing the internal HR team, and applying AI tools and project-management systems to improve HR work. As part of senior leadership at an early-stage company, the Director may also contribute to non-HR initiatives as the organization’s roles and processes evolve. The company prioritizes high-quality medical care and aims to provide competitive compensation, strong team dynamics, and positive work-life balance at both the corporate and practice levels. This is a remote opportunity.
