About The Position

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the HR department in multiple areas. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for areas including, but not limited to data entry in HRIS/HCM systems, administrative support, maintaining job posts and pre-employment tasks for new hires, responding to various employee and department requests, answering basic HR questions, completing verifications of employment, maintaining files and records, completing verifications of employment, and more. This is a Monday-Friday onsite position in Gilbert, AZ.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources, including but not limited to employee relations, benefits, leave of absences, policies, programs, disciplinary action, employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and basic computer skills required.
  • Very strong attention to detail, data entry, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Tolerance for variability and high work volume.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, with varying deadlines at once.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a HR Coordinator, HR assistant, HR Internship, or similar role preferred - but not required.
  • Previous hands-on experience with HRIS/HCM Oracle, or similar software desired.
  • Two-year college or university program degree preferred but not required.
  • Certifications and licenses related to Human Resources, business and safety are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists HR Generalist, retail, and warehouse management with maintaining and tracking onboarding/offboarding tasks, pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and criminal background checks.
  • Helps oversee the talent acquisition process, which may include job posting, interviewing with departmental managers and/or HR Manager to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assists HR file clerk by saving 3rd party files to file database.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Creates or utilizes communication tools to enhance transfer of information within and without the department.
  • Assist and support various HR processes within various software platforms, to ensure all data is accurate and correct.
  • Plan and participate in initiatives and events.
  • Provides support for various areas of human resources.
  • Perform audits under the direction of the manager. Prepare, collect, and organize data for various internal and external reporting needs.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Seek out information on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Respond to external entities and vendors as appropriate.
  • Participate in the testing and implementation of all system upgrades and rollout of new features.
  • May travel to other AZ AFW stores from time to time. Travel cost is reimbursed.
  • Take on special projects and assignments as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
